Dewi and Lucy  first met as teenagers, Dewi was in a band and Lucy was studying Musical Theatre. Through a love of Folk & Americana music they bonded over a shared love of artists like Joan Baez and The Band. Dewi eventually asked Lucy to sing some songs with his band where Lucy found a new love of performing original material.

Through many incarnations of the band (Crying Wolf Club, Little Folk, Sons of Owen) three things really stood out. One was the songwriting, an ability to tell stories through song, one was was Dewi's and Lucy's chemistry on stage and the third being stunning harmonies.

After the Pandemic the band played a few shows but had ultimately run its course. However, That was just the start for BOWEN.

As BOWEN, Dewi and Lucy have been lucky enough to play some amazing festivals and venues, released a compilation album and are now working on an acoustic EP to be released shortly. 

Dewi and Lucy plan to take the summer festival scene by storm in 2025 taking their beautiful blend of Americana and Welsh storytelling to the whole of the UK.
